Match Previews - 30th April 2010
Home United FC VS Albirex Niigata FC
The first meeting between the two teams ended with Home United winning 2-1 at the Jurong East Stadium. Since that meeting, both teams have differing fortunes. Albirex Niigata have improved and their recent results are justification of it. In their last two matches, they beat Beijing Guoan FC and drew 0-0 with Etoile FC respectively. The Japanese side will definitely give our Protectors a tougher match this time at the Jalan Besar Stadium. On the contrary, our Protectors have gone three matches without a win, with only two draws and a loss to show for. The defence has so far managed only two shut-outs and has conceded the most goals in the league. With the first stage of the season almost complete, our Protectors will have to start winning if we want to remain title contenders. As it is, we trail leaders Tampines Rovers by four points but the leaders have two matches in hand, thus the difference could rise to as much as ten points. More team news to follow........
