New Sharp-shooter ! - Choi Chul Woo
3rd January 2010

South Korean Choi Chul Woo will lead Home United FC's attack for this 2010 season. Signed from South Korean K2 league side Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, the forward will look to hit the goal-scoring charts. The Jeonbuk born player has played eight seasons in South Korea's top league representing clubs like Pohang Steelers, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Busan I'Park.
Choi has 10 International caps for South Korea and has netted twice for the National team in 2000, scoring against Mongolia and Macedonia. At 1.85m tall, Choi will offer good presence up front, especially in the aerial battles.
We had a short chat with Choi Chul Woo.
1. What can the fans expect to see from you ?
Goals. I can shoot with both feet and my heading is good as well.
2. What are your targets for 2010 ?
Score many goals and help Home United FC clinch the S-League title.
3. How has your stay here in Singapore been so far ?
My wife and kids are here with me. We like Singapore. It's a nice country. The only problem i would say is the weather. It's too hot and humid here and i need to get used to it.
4. You've played professionally in South Korea for 9 years. This is your first time playing in a foreign country. How do you feel ?
It's not easy as language is a problem. I can only understand and speak a little bit of English so communicating with my new team-mates can be difficult at times. Saying that, i am learning English now so it should be ok soon.
HUFC will like to wish Choi Chul Woo a successful season ahead !
