Home United FC U-16s Clinches League Crown

26th July 2010

Home United FC's Under 16s have clinched the 2010 FAS COE U-16 League. Our junior Protectors are deserved Champions after some impressive results, most notably a 7-1 win over SAFFC U-16s.

This year, the Under 16 League comprised 5 Club teams and 1 National youth team in the Under 14s. The Under 15s were not included as they prepared for the Youth Olympic Games, which starts next month.

Among them were three players who have recently graduated from Home United FC's Freekicks programme. Rayyan Sufuwandy, Muhd Kamarul and Muhd Afiq were integral members of this Championship winning team. All three players acknowledged the basics and foundations they learnt from the Freekicks programme enabled them to quickly adapt to the requirements of the Under-16 League.

On winning the League, Head Coach Hairil Amin commented "The players worked very hard in training and gave their best in games. They deserve to win the League. I would like to thank the Club and management for their support in youth development. I would also like to thank Whitley Secondary School for their continued support towards our programme. Without their support, it'll be difficult to achieve such success."
